Our Little Love Story

Hi everyone,

I usually don’t do these kind of posts but I’ve been getting a lot of emails and requests about Trev and I and how we met. So here it goes! I’ll try to be somewhat brief:)

First off I have to start by saying our story is not at all how I thought it would be like when I met the person I was going to marry and I thought the people that did what we did were CRAZY!! So don’t judge!

We got set up by a friend who is now actually our brother in law, (he just married my sister in feb) so that’s fun. But I would always cut my friend from home’s hair and he’d always want me to go out with his roommate. He’d always say “You’ll really like him, he uses a blow dryer to do his hair every morning.” haha. Trev might kill me for saying that.. Anyways I did not want to go out with Trev at all for whatever reason and I bailed about three times over the course of prob 6 months. I went on a date with another guy to a BYU soccer game where Trev was playing and the stands were all talking about how fast and good he was. He was cuter than I had remembered and I remember thinking I prob should have gone out with him.. But every haircut when my friend mentioned it I thought no for some reason.  But then we finally went out. I didn’t get ready for the date at all.. I thought if I just go out with him once then my friend and sister would stop bugging me to go out with him.

The first date was perfect.. haha. About 15 seconds in I was wishing I got ready and was hooked from there. We hung out everyday since our first date and you are going to freak but after a week I knew I’d marry him.

We were engaged a month later. And married less than 5 months from our first date. I know you probably think we were crazy! I always thought whoever a married I’d date for a year at least.. we both had long relationships 2-3 years so we both thought whoever we dated/married it would be like that, but that didn’t happen with us..

I was head over heels for him and still am. I know there are multiple people out there that you could marry and I think that’s true but Trev is the one I was suppose to marry. He really is my soulmate. It’s hard to give advise on who/if you should marry someone because everyone and every situation is so different but just don’t settle. There were lots of guys I dated that I could have married and been happy with, but it wouldn’t be like the love Trev and I have for each other. When I was younger I had someone tell me to write down 10 things that I wanted in a husband and if I was a good person I’d find those 10 things. I did and thought there’s no way one person has all of these things but okay.. haha. The list grew too as the years went on to about 20. I looked back at that list after I met Trev.. He has every one of them! Don’t settle girls!!:)

Trev is the kind of person I hope I can be one day. He inspires me and allows me to live my dream every day. I’m so blessed to be married to him and love him so much!
