Q: What self Tanner do you use?
A:  This is the best self tanner, HERE. I have tried a ton. Trev’s skin tans sooo easily and well but I am white as a ghost and I hate the beds bc I don’t want skin cancer or wrinkles when I’m older so I use self tanner like my everyday lotion.

 

Q: Who does your hair? (I get 50 questions a day asking this  haha)

A: @hairbykami she is the best and the sweetest and I’m grateful to have found her haha. She is moving to a new salon too!! She also owns the hair extension company that I use. She is seriously the best!! I trust her to do anything with my hair.

 

Q: What made you decide to get bangs?

A: I really wanted a change going into Fall. I don’t know what it is about this time of year but I notice I always want to do something new and bangs is an easy change but not super dramatic like chopping all my hair off. I’m too chicken to chop it all or dye it brown so bangs it was:) And I love them!! You all should do it:)

 

Q: Are your brows microbladed?

A: No I just pencil mine in! I get this question all the time so it’s my goal to do a video on it in the next month for you guys. But this is what I use for them, HERE & HERE

 

Q: Do you have lash extensions?

A: No I don’t. I use strip lashes when I want more volume, HERE. These are awesome and $3.50 (If they are out of stock I’ll be getting more Thursday this week)

 

 

WORK QUESTIONS

Q: How did you think of the name Shop Stevie

A: It was sooo hard choosing a name! I wanted my name in it somehow because the shop is an extension of my closet and anything I like and would wear so I know I wanted my name in it somehow. Stevie Henderson was too long and Stephanie Henderson was too long. Shop Stevie just seemed like it fit and made sense and at the time no one was doing anything like that. The url to Shop Stevie was taken but we just went for it and a year later we were able to grab the url. Stevie is my nickname that I went by in elementary school and my family calls me. My dad’s name is Steve and I look just like him so growing up Stevie is just what everyone called me.

Q: How did you meet Witney from DWTS?

A: We worked with a lot of her friends like Sadie Robertson and things and she reached out to us to sponsor her and Lindsey’s Born and Raised show in Utah. We met her at the show and she was so nice and so down to earth and so great to work with. She’s super business minded so I thought it would be cool to do something with her. I’m grateful for my shop that allows me to meet so many great people. I have such amazing customers and friends through my shop that

 

Q: What happened to the rep program?

A: We sadly had to end it. Part of owning a business is making hard decisions. This was by far the hardest decision we’ve made. There’s a lot of things that went into this decision but it was the right decision. I’ve come out with a new program that is way better and way less risk for people. You don’t have to buy inventory up front you just make money from what you sell. Some of my reps have started their own shops and I am so happy for them and so proud!! Q: Can you answer my DM?

A: Guys.. I hate dm’s haha I try to go on and answer some and sometimes someone from my team will jump on and answer a bunch but it’s so hard to get to all of them. Q: When will the mom jeans you wear come out?

A: The blue denim aren’t from my shop. But you can shop them  HERE ! Kind of pricey but I wear them with everything!! 

 

Q: When will the black jeans come out that you wear in your posts.

A: These were a sample that I had made to bring to my shop but the denim minimums in china are like 5000 so I didn’t go through with it. But I based them off of these, HERE  (with holes HERE)

 

LIFE QUESTIONS

Q: How did you meet Trev?

A: We got set up by a friend, (who is now our brother in law) You can read more about it HERE

 

Q: Have you ever dealt with mental health issues?

A: I haven’t but theres nothing wrong with it if you are dealing with that. There’s so many great support options out there and professionals. I would say just go to your health provider and let them know what you are struggling with to get support or medicine. A lot of things that go on with the brain can be hereditary so don’t feel bad or embarrassed.

Q: Did you have postpartum with either of your babies.

A: I had a few people ask this and I just wanted to thank them for being strong enough to ask. I didn’t but I totally get how you could. Your body just went through so much, you’re tired, you have a baby that needs your attention, your body is different… First of all if you’re struggling with this it’s okay! You aren’t a bad person or a bad mom and it’s more common than you think. Go to your doctor for help. I’m not a professional but just in my experience I would say make sure you have you time YOU time, let someone else take care of baby for an hour everyday and don’t be afraid to go to a doctor. After both my babies I’m super quick to get out of the house and doing stuff. I usually have to shoot product the week I come home from the hospital, by week I mean it’s usually the day I come home haha. I have to get totally ready, make up done, hair done and out of the house. It actually feels really good for me. To get ready and look good and feel good. I would say try to get ready for your day and out of the house, even if it’s just for a walk. It’s amazing what fresh air can do! You mama’s are amazing!! Being a mom is the best job and also the hardest.

Q: What enneagram are you?

A: I had to look this up haha I had no idea what this was but I took the test and I’m in between a 2 and 9 (helper and peacemaker)

 

Q: What’s your personality like?

A: I don’t like talking about myself but personality wise I’m naturally very shy, I feel like my shop has made me come out of my shell a little. I don’t like confrontation. I love being a mom and wife and taking care of my family. My mom would describe me as sweet.. haha My sisters would say I’m HILARIOUS (right guys?? haha) and Trev hopefully would say I’m loving and giving

 

Q: How are your girls personalities different?

A: They are very different!! Aniston is high energy, happy little girl, very smart and very emotional. When she’s high she’s high and when she’s low she’s low and maybe that’s every two year old but one big difference between them is even as a baby Aniston was extremely active, always had to be doing something and her little mind never stopped, Zara is just content with whatever is happening around her. Zara is sweet, soft, very loving and just so mellow and even tempered.

 

Q: What’s the hardest part about being a mom?

A: Being a mom was always what I wanted to be growing up. When someone asked me what I wanted to go to school for or be when I was older I didn’t really care, I just wanted to be a mom. Being a mom is a lot of work but so great and I think the hardest part is just knowing if I’m doing it right. I just want my girls to grow up to be happy and kind. And to be a whole lot of other things too but mainly to just be happy and kind!

On a more day to day thing that is hard is when Aniston is mean to Zara or doesn’t want to nap and is grumpy bc she’s tired.. those are our current struggles. haha. Being a mom requires a ton of patience. I did just learn about Red dye #40 I’ve noticed a huge difference with Anistons temper when we avoid this in the foods I give her!! its crazy! Q: What keeps you going when things are hard?

A: If ever I get in a “poor me” mode I quickly think of this song and am reminded that I’ve been given much and have so much to be happy about. This is my favorite song, especially the second verse. I get a lot of happiness with the little things.

We are a very religious family, we belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and this brings a lot of happiness to our lives and is what keeps my head on the right track and keeps me going.
